I was born and raised in a small town in West Tennessee and grew up in a very strong United Methodist family. Graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in Secondary Education in 1971. Became a member of the Professional Golfer's Association in 1972 and worked as a club professional in both Arkansas & Mississippi until 1988. Answering God's call to ministry, I entered Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC, and my Masters of Divinity in 1992. Ordained an Elder in 1994....served: Grenada Grace 1992-96 (4 point charge) Caswell Springs 1996-2006 Fulton UMC 2006-2010 First UMC, Pascagoula, 2010-2015 Seashore DS beginning in July 2015

Served on Conference Board on Health & Welfare from 1992-96, served on Conference Board of Ordained Ministry 1996-2004, Chair of DBOM from 2000-2004, served on Conference Commission on Equitable Compensation from 2008-present and served as Chair. from 2012-present. No serving as Cabinet Rep. on Conference Board of Trustees and on Conference United Methodist Men's Committee.

Wife: Madge Fisher, Married 38 years...two children and three grandsons....
